PFLAG is the nation's largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them. According to the Trevor Project (www.thetrevorproject.org), 39% of LGBTQ+ young people seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year — including 46% of transgender and nonbinary young people. Sadly, more than 1 in 10 (12%) LGBTQ+ young people attempted suicide in the past year, so it's especially fitting to have PFLAG Cape Cod's presence at the Suicide Awareness Walk.
